What do we do, what can we do, what should we do? The Coronavirus has given new meaning to "help thy neighbor". Most of us have not experienced anything like this before especially at the level it has become. Governments are scrambling to get a hold of the crisis. The fact is we, the people, must help take control and do our part. You have heard all about it. I don't have to say it again. Let's help each other and protect ourselves. Stay home unless it is absolutely necessary to go out to purchase groceries or necessities at store. Visit on line, cell, or other Tech ways that are available. Wave at those who are able to get out for a walk keeping the social distancing from others.

The best and most important thing we can all do is PRAY! Yes, let's pray together for the end of this pandemic and renewal of humanity. Let's say this is the end of a new beginning! Let's all learn from this experience so we can make a better world for all to be safe. Let's say that 2020 was the year we opened our eyes to really SEE. Let's be able to tell our grandchildren and great-grandchildren we helped to do our part during this time in an unsafe world. It is up to us, all of us, to do our part. Pray, God be with us!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful time this season with friends and family. Christmas gatherings should be celebrated often during the year and we should never forget our friends and family and those who need our support and love. Lets all make the extra effort to be there for someone who needs us.

This past year has made us all stronger and wiser to our past experiences. With the New Year quickly approaching remember that it is the year of clear vision.... 2020! Head into this year with eyes wide open and a mind ready to operate with an openness and willing to always be better and do better.

Wishing a Happy New Year to all for clarity and vision in 2020!
It is already a new year. Christmas was great to be with family and friends. I hope everyone else celebrated Christmas in their own way too. Remembering that the reason we have this holiday is because we as Christians celebrate Jesus' birth at this time. It is a holiday for everyone including those who do not believe. Now as we start off a new year lets enjoy our life and make a resolution to be happy and be kind to others.

The Best Year Ever to all!!
My niece is graduating grade 12 this year and it makes me realize how quickly the time has gone by since the first time I saw her beautiful face. She will now be on her way to making her own life as many young graduates do.

Summer is also a time to relax and take some time off to enjoy the warm season. Perhaps at home or camping or visiting other places towns or cities. Beautiful flowers in gardens have been appearing to remind us of how wonderful our world is and pleasing to the eye. Children will be out of school very soon too for the summer so enjoy their time as they grow up fast, graduate and make a life of their own.

To all of you out there .... have a marvelous summer and do something special!!

And to all Graduates out there.... Congratulations and Best Wishes in the next stage of your life.
Birds return to nest and life starts anew. Trees and grass come back to life and plants start their growth for another new season.

I too have started to renew. It has been a tough time coming to this point however life continues and so must I. Family and friends alike have been with me all the way. Thank God for this. Many changes in the last 7 months have made my transition easier.

My Faith has kept me strong and I will always be grateful and thankful I have Jesus to guide me through the good times and the tough testing times! Stay with me and keep up the Faith.

Happy New Spring!!
I have had many people around me being supportive, lifting me up, caring about me and I am truly grateful. Boots left this earth in February which was a very tough time for both Larry and me. With Larry now gone it makes the days much more difficult to get through. However, in all this I have put my trust in the Lord and He has guided me through. Placing many people by my side to give me strength. It is the Lord who has given me my strength through these times and will continue to do so.

I thank Him for all the wonderful people He has placed in both Larry's and in my life. Our family has been a great comfort and as time goes by I know I can count on them.

Thank you to all who have been there for both Larry and me in these really hard times. God Bless all of you for He is good and so are all of you!
We have been Blessed with awesome weather this year so far. A bit of snow for our husky to play in and today a little cooler then it has been. It is also my daughter's birthday today. My how time flies by. I just finished a birthday a couple weeks ago and my baby girl is now another year older today.

I look forward to spending some time with her and the grandchildren in the very near future. As for the cold day today, we will take Boots for a walk in the country, enjoy the crisp, cool temps and later enjoy time with our neighbor over a cup of hot toddy! Enjoy life as it comes. It's a gift!
Another Christmas year has come and gone. Does anyone remember why we celebrate Christmas? The hussel and bussel to ready for the season and have gifts bought for all. But it is not about all the gifts and food or the holiday cheer. Its about the baby Christ Child born on Christmas day to save us all from our sins. How many people remember or know this?

It is to easy to forget as we make our plans for the season. Christ is the reason for the season! Let's not forget that is why we have a Christmas.

So I'd like to wish to one and all a Joyful Christmas because Christ was born and He's with us all year long! May joy be in your heart because Jesus was born on Christmas day and is with you always.
It has been 1 month since I'm on holidays. Shortly I will retire from my 25 year career with the RCMP. It has been a great career and I have enjoyed my time there. Now on to new adventures which I'm sure will take me to places I've not been to before. Sure I will be able to see my grandchildren more. In fact I get to look after 1 of them for part time! These are the special times as they grow so fast.

I will be spending more quality time with my husband Larry! We usually do a lot of things together and now we hope to do more but different things together. Looking forward to free time for other things now that I'm retiring.

Only 16 working days left till August 14, 2015 when I go on holidays and then on October 5, 2015 I retire from my career. The 25 years have gone quickly and before I knew it retirement was close at hand. I'm excited and have some plans. It's a new way to start the next exciting time of my life. Looking forward to new adventures.Debrahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01339039718897257200noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8175889422312725912.post-54553895050469057812015-04-11T14:44:00.000-07:002015-04-11T14:47:47.399-07:00TravelHello to all those out there who love to travel! Larry and I usually don't take a plane anywhere but because of medical reasons have to fly to Ottawa a few times. We have now flown 2 times & both times on our return trip have had our flights cancelled or delayed. This second time delay meant staying in Winnipeg over night. Of course Air Canada has covered the cost but it sure has left us thinking travel via air is not the way to go.

Perhaps another air line will work better for us next time. We'll see about that. All in all the hotel we are at is great & along with our free vouchers for meals we will get by. I think we'll stick to road travel! Till next time....

Fair weather travel everyone.

Happy
Valentine's Day!!

We
celebrated on that stormy day! I had reservations to the new restaurant 20TEN
on 2010 12th Avenue. We debated about going because of the storm and a lot of
snow. In the end we decided to take the plunge and go for it. Larry with his
skillful driving made it easy for us to get downtown to this new
establishment.

I
am so glad we went. We were able to park out front, but had we not, they have
valet service to park your vehicle for you!! What a plus that is! The red
carpet, which was whiter than red at this time, was a nice touch. We entered
into a nicely lit and excellently decorated restaurant. It felt homey and not
pretentious. The decor was very nice, plain but tasteful. We were taken care
of right away with the owner taking our coats to hang up and shown to our table.
The meal was a "special" for the weekend so had an appy, main course and
dessert.

They
had 3 choices for dinner. Each were described very well in the menu and they
looked very appetizingly. We both went with the 6 oz. steak. Appy’s were
great, the dessert was lovely and main meal...terrific! The service was
outstanding and they were very busy!

Would
I recommend this to others? Oh yes! Price was a bit higher than some other
restaurants, but it was certainly worth the cost! Try it out! I'm sure you'll
like it!

It must have taken the scenic route. Have heart though because my tulips have broken through in one of the few places where we don't have snow in our back yard. The long range forecast is for more cool weather and some snow in April. I guess we will have to change it from April showers to April snow flakes to bring May flowers. I guess we should just consider how lucky we are to live where there are few natural disasters to face as in other parts of the world. Spring will come as it always does and we will just have to be patient as we have learned over the years.Debrahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01339039718897257200noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8175889422312725912.post-91683138408324646012011-03-28T12:17:00.000-07:002011-03-31T22:23:56.821-07:00New BlogThis is the beginning of my new blog, Debra's Den.
